Chapter 6:
"Sara... I ...uh," he let out a deep sigh.
What is going on? I thought
"I don't want to hurt you," he said.
Now at this point I was completely confused.
"How would you do that?" I asked wondering what the heck is going on with him.
"I need to get something off my chest, I have been dying to tell someone. But technically I am not supposed to, but there's something about you, that is drawing me to you and makes me want you to know everything and I don't know why."
I had nothing to say.
"My parents will kill me if I tell you this, only they and really one other person know, besides this other group, but it will make sense in a minute. But I feel as though you have a right to know."
Who else knew what was going on with him? Brother? friend? I didn't know, maybe I should wait to hear what it is first.
"Okay," he began," well I can see the future. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I can. And maybe you’re also thinking that if I can do this, why don't I share it, right?"
Exactly what I was thinking, but I was too shocked to speak, so I just nodded.
"Well I'm really not allowed to tell my secret, because of this organization called the Rick Faire Institute, it's named after the founder. But it deals with people like me who have these different talents. And they want it to be kept under wraps, but they never really say why, but I have a feeling they are up to something..." he let his voice drift off.
Whoa, this is a bit freaky, I was still too shocked to even say a word.
"Did I freak you out, hey I'm sorry, but having to keep this a secret was too hard. You could totally just walk away now, I would understand."
I took a deep breath and began to gather my thoughts.
"No, I would never do that. Look I understand... well sort of, but I think it's... interesting and I am happy you confided in me."
"Will you promise not to tell anyone," he almost begged.
"If you can see the future, shouldn't you be able to know if I will."
"Well actually my visions have been weird and not making any sense, so I can't really say," he said with a confused look on his face.
"I swear that I will tell nobody," I promised
"Thank you," relief washed over his face.
He took me back home and gave me a soft kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you again for being so understanding and I will answer any questions you may have for me."
Well I had way too many to ask so I decided I would wait.
"I'll ask my questions another time."
"Okay, well...I'll see you at school Monday?" he asked
"Yeah"
"Okay, goodnight Sara."
"Goodnight Robert."
And he left.
I went up to my room, thinking about everything he said. I can't believe I am practically in love with guy who can see the future.
Austin is definitely different than Oregon. But I went to bed with so many unanswered questions, which would have to wait.
I feel asleep right away and that was the end of the most spectacular and weirdest date I have ever been on.
wow i love this... i hope you plan on publishing it someday!
